According to TMZ, actor and comedian Garry Shandling died of a massive heart attack on Thursday after exhibiting no signs or warnings prior.
To say that Shandling was a comedy legend would be a complete understatement. Over his decades long career, his stand-up comedy and television appearances helped make him a legend, inspiring artists like Steve Martin, Jerry Seinfeld and Judd Apatow.
After his death, comics from across the world flocked to Twitter to remember their fallen hero.
“Goodbye Gary Shandling thank you for your kindness and your generosity and for making me laugh so damn much,” Amy Schumer wrote.
“Dammit. He was the best. So sad. RIP Garry Shandling,” Marc Maron followed.
